Public Law 94-579 (2)

The act allows unsurveyed islands, determined by the Secretary to be U.S. Public Lands, to be conveyed to the states or their political subdivisions for recreational or certain other purposes.

Conveyance of the designated islands may be without regard to acreage limitations, and may also be made without survey.

Conveyance criteria in the act for omitted lands is exactly the same as for islands except that the omitted lands conveyance may not be made without prior survey.
