In a standard section the 1/16 section corners are placed at 20 ch. and 60 ch. The NE, SE, SW and NW 1/16 section corners are placed at intersection of two straight lines from the 1/16 corners of their appropriate quarter section. This divides the section into 40 acre aliquot parts.
