Offset corners within a township often occur when townships are partially surveyed in the original survey and completed in a subsequent survey and the first survey was found out of limits by the second survey. This condition can create various offset corner situations. For the GCDB-ID’s we place a 1, 2, 8 or 9 in the last digit of the prefix and suffix. The regular corner ID is not used. This helps in calculations later in the GCDB process.
